Still

Still is a dance film co-directed by Mar Talavera-Tejeda, Verónica Garrido Lecca, and Elías Mujica. The film follows six women attempting to move forward as a collective, only to find themselves trapped in a loop that returns them to the same place. As they navigate this cyclical space—shifting between chaos and harmony—the possibility of real movement becomes a question rather than a goal.

The film is both intimate and allegorical, reflecting on the invisible forces that shape how we relate to ourselves and each other. At its core, Still is a meditation on societal standards of beauty and the emotional weight these norms carry—particularly when internalized within the body.

Created through a collaborative process across choreography, cinematography, and direction, the film invites the viewer to sit inside the tension between stagnation and transformation.
